Principle & Testing Methodology
Liquid Penetrant Testing relies on capillary action to draw low-viscosity penetrant fluids into clean, surface-breaking discontinuities. After a specified dwell time, excess surface penetrant is removed, and a non-aqueous developer is applied. The developer draws entrapped penetrant back to the surface, creating visible magnified indication bleed-outs.
